Establishing Dates
There are very important conclusions and lessons that are learned once we have the historical dates correct. These reinforce what the Bible says and supports prophecy, but also provide a better understanding of what God is seeking to achieve.

The Seventy Weeks Prophecy
The biblical book of Daniel (chapter 9) provided a 70 week projection which when calculated, indicated the Messiah was to be born in 4 BCE, come upon the scene 30 years later, and die 3 1/2 years into His role.
This helps us understand why there was so much anticipation and debate regarding Christ's mission in the early first century. Despite the expectation, that generation failed and missed out on the most important event in history.

Bible vs. Secular Dates
This research paper explains how Bible chronology often differs significantly from secular dating sources. Unfortunately historical dating information has regularly relied upon Egyptian timelines which haven't been correctly understood, often leading to major distortions in the dating of ancient events.
Examining Prophecy
Prophecy can be the most embarrassing part of any religion including Christianity. People may use it to make predictions about the future that often prove to be wrong. They may make silly life decisions based on prophecy.
However, God is the one who has made the prophetic predictions, and when examined correctly, confirm His existence, establish the Bible as a credible resource, and can provide useful and profound insights into the future.

The Middle East in Prophecy
This explores the prophetic predictions made in Daniel 10 & 11. It describes what each verse ultimately was referring to historically, and ultimately pauses where future events are still to occur.
World War Two was a pivotal period where the last fulfilment appears to have ended (Daniel 11:40). Daniel 11:41-45 describe what are likely to represent the activities of the beast power (also noted in the book of Revelation), followed by the return of Jesus Christ Daniel 12:1-2.
Supplemental reading on the book of Revelation is included.

Early Christians Flee
Jesus made reference In Matthew 24, Luke 21 and Mark 13 to a future period of great trouble, to occur before His second coming. It was addressed to His faithful followers, where He indicated there will be a time where His elect will need to depart from the impending destruction.
Interestingly, His warning had a very strong correlation to the events that were occurring immediately prior to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 CE. The Christians of that time also fled from the destruction, heeding the signs Jesus provided of impending doom.
Reconciling Three Days & Three Nights
Jesus said He would be in the grave three days and three nights (Matthew 12:40). In an earlier 2nd book draft where I referred to this, the publisher questioned Jesus' remark given that the Good Friday / Easter Sunday tradition doesn't align with that time period. I therefore added pages to the book to explain this, and the supportive content follows.

Rome, and the Emperor Constantine As the Arbiter
In order to bring unity and peace to the Roman Empire which was under religious tension for quite some time, Emperor Constantine in the 3rd century worked to establish uniformity in Christian religious belief.
Unfortunately this also served to support anti-Jewish bias. Since the churches of Asia Minor maintained practices including the Sabbath which resembled much of Jewish religious practice, they found themselves further targeted and persecuted, labeled as outsiders to true Christian belief.
What is summarized here can be readily found in any historical record.

Easter Tradition
The term Easter is a rather peculiar name choice for a religious observance that is to be tied to Christ. In addition, Easter eggs, Easter bunnies and related practices are rather strange additions to what is to be a rather solemn occasion.
The Bible only refers to the Passover (older Bible translations may use the word Easter in Acts 12:4, but this was translated from the word pascha, which refers to the Passover -- this was corrected in later translations).
The readers can make their own determination on this Easter matter, but some sources referencing Easter tradition are given below.
General Resources
There are some items below that one may find useful for additional reading.

12 Keys to Answered Prayer
A useful description of the circumstances upon which prayers can be answered.
It's noted that God can even answer prayers of those who otherwise don't truly have a relationship with Him, even though this doesn't mean the person can continue in that disconnected attitude.

The Real God & Prayer Power
The booklet provides additional information on why God exists and what He commits to for human beings.
Also attached is the fascinating story of General Patton and his weather prayer (Battle of the Bulge, Dec. 1944) and how he viewed prayer power.

Bible Validity
These booklets provide facts on why we should believe the Bible as being authoritative and useful.
Miscellaneous
These are items referred to in the second book.

Machiavelli -- the Prince
Was Machiavelli commenting on the human condition when it comes to the matter of power, or providing a guidebook? Whatever the case, it has become a disturbing reflection of what people will do to obtain control and to hold on to it.

1983 -- The Year of the Bible
This is a copy of the resolution as held in the U.S. archives.
What's notable about the text of this document, is the confidence the U.S. Congress had in the Bible's value and authority.
